Erstwhile

I don't put a Christmas tree up. I have a 'forest' of small trees, but no big, traditional tree with ornaments and lights. This year, someone fixed that and lent me a 'tree'. It is meant to be outside, but it is more or less shaped like a tree and has lights. It is in my living room. I call it my erstwhile tree.
